One of the main reasons that pro-life advocates are in this fight is to see the number of induced abortions decrease. There are a lot of factors that influence those abortion numbers, and in this new post-Dobbs environment, we’re seeing a rapidly shifting landscape that makes it hard to see what it’s going to take to end the practice of intentionally killing preborn children.
Here to offer some clarity is Melanie Israel. Prior to joining The Heritage Foundation, Melanie worked on Capitol Hill, in the office of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and in the Senate Judiciary Committee. She received a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Texas.
