The book Four Steps to Healing has its own website at www.postabortionhealing.net. It was very much written so that those who may not have the courage to pick up the phone or attend a group program, could at least begin to heal in the privacy of their home. The book does give examples so that anyone reading it can see how various women were helped by going to group programs, therefore, it may help people who read the book to have the courage to attend a healing program (Bible study, retreat etc.) The website for Four Steps To Healing was designed totally neutral, with nothing political or denominational, so that it would be a site where physicians can in fact feel comfortable referring women.

APART was formed to address this need, to assist those who may not have the opportunity or resources to study the science available – in short, to stand apart.

Additional notes on abortion recovery resources

ARIN, Abortion Recovery International, currently gets 30,000 hits a year, and they have a very nice website, also they have people on call by phone pretty much constantly. They list many types of programs, and include many of the pregnancy care centers which offer the post-abortion Bible studies AND also Rachel’s Vineyard teams… so you can get many options. By contacting this group you are not limited to one type of program, but they will try to find the best fit which is closest to your home, and it does include CareNet centers, Heartbeat centers (If they have a post-abortion Bible study) and any Rachel’s VIneyard teams and others who have listed, who agree to the ARIN standard of care, (which would include most ministries). The National Helpline is staffed by post-abortive women, and they are very similar to the above… they also refer to the pregnancy care centers that have post-abortion Bible studies, AND to Rachel’s VIneyard teams, (according to what is closest AND best meets clients needs), and they have 24/7 support by phone. Further notes on Rachel’s Vineyard: They have a hotline, plus they will do email buddies for those who can’t bring themselves to pick up the phone–you can select a bio from a list of email buddies, and send in your questions or needs… they will be your email friend for as long as you wish… and there are retreats in almost every state and many other countries. It is a very nice website, also includes a men’s page.
