AAPLOG & AAPLOG Action Raise nearly $230,000 for First-Ever Day of Giving!

On June 24, in celebration of the Third Anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Center, which overturned Roe v. Wade, AAPLOG and AAPLOG Action hosted their first-ever Day of Giving, through which we raised $226,797 from a total of 237 amazing donors! As AAPLOG Board Chair Dr. Christina Cirucci said in this Instagram video, “doctors’ voices mattered, and AAPLOG made a difference” in the Dobbs decision, for which we submitted an amicus brief. “But this work has only just begun,” Dr. Cirucci added. “It is multiplied because now we are fighting in all 50 states. AAPLOG is on the forefront of this work.”

Big Milestones:

First time givers unlock Board Matches

  • Thanks to the generosity of the Boards of Directors of AAPLOG and AAPLOG Action, our supporters were able to maximize their impact through two match challenges.
  • AAPLOG’s Board of Directors $30,000 match was unlocked because we added over 50 first-time givers to our cause.
  • AAPLOG Action’s Board of Directors $10,000 match was unlocked after securing 20 first-time givers to the cause.
  • In total, 135 people partnered with us for the first time to ensure that life-affirming healthcare can be available for all.

Member Match funds all student memberships for 2025

  • Thanks to one generous anonymous member, our supporters were also able to boost their impact by unlocking a $50,000 matching gift for raising 100 gifts of $100 or more, which allowed us to fully cover the annual membership of all our medical student and resident members for 2025.

We are so grateful to our many members who volunteered to film videos for this event, making our content and messaging dynamic, insightful, and encouraging in the week leading up to June 24. Our social media audience heard from several board members as well as two medical students and one medical resident, who bravely shared how AAPLOG supports them in the early stages of their medical career. We were also incredibly fortunate that several exciting developments occurred on the national stage during this period that AAPLOG had played a role in, which we were able to highlight as examples of why doctors’ voices matter in this fight. This included the addition of a key AAPLOG Action policy priority in the President’s Fiscal Year 2026 budget request (more on this in the next story), a key pro-life victory at the U.S. Supreme Court (as we mentioned in a previous story), and on the Day of Giving itself, a mention of AAPLOG CEO Dr. Christina Francis on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives by Representative Chris Smith (R-NJ).

“We are incredibly grateful to our members and pro-life allies who stepped up and have provided us with fuel for the fight ahead” says Archer Bane, AAPLOG’s Director of Development. “This giving day was our first ever and we were honored to see how well it resonated with our supporters, social media followers, and partners. It’s truly a testament to the importance of medical professionals’ voices in the pro-life movement, which our allies in the community clearly recognize.”

We look forward to building upon the momentum gathered on this Day of Giving to make a life-affirming impact on the medical culture and the nation – because doctors’ voices matter.
