AAPLOG’s time in D.C. was marked by an incredible March for Life where we were energized by the pro-life movement. Even before the festivities began, AAPLOG was on the move at our nation’s capital, advocating for our patients and our members. Here’s a snippet of everything we were up to this past week:

- AAPLOG attended Heartbeat International’s briefing on Capitol Hill, where we heard the story of Catherine Pressly Herring’s abortion pill poisoning by her ex-husband, creating even more resolve in the pro-life movement to put safeguards on chemical abortion pills. Keep your eye out for our new season of our podcast to hear directly from Catherine.

- Dr. George Delgado spoke about the success and the importance of Abortion Pill Reversal at a Live Action press conference about the dangers of chemical abortion.

- Dr. Christina Francis spoke on the challenges of prenatal testing at the Science Alliance for Life and Technology (SALT) briefing on reproductive eugenics for Congressional staffers. Not only that, but Dr. Francis was invited to the White House, where Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, NIH director, announced that there would be no more federal funding for research involving human fetal tissue from induced abortions.

- AAPLOG board members Drs. Chris Cirucci, Ingrid Skop, George Delgado, and Donna Harrison, along with Dr. Francis, visited the Office of Civil Rights at HHS to discuss how to protect the conscience rights of medical trainees.
We also networked and connected with pro-life medical professionals, students, and other energetic pro-lifers at the National Pro-Life Summit. We were able to speak to many who were thankful for an organization that supports prolife physicians – and many stated that we need more (we agree!). It was once again evident how many women are desperate to find a pro-life physician or midwife. Our dues-paying members are able to be listed in our public directory. This is the MOST visited part of our website as women across the country use it to locate a physician, midwife, or pregnancy center near them. We know that for some of you it may feel like a risk to be listed, but we promise it will be a boost to your practice as well as provide hope to women in your area. If you are interested in membership and a directory listing, please contact our Director of Member Engagement, Cathy Deeds, at cathy@aaplog.org
Our AAPLOG leadership is on the move to support our members, and to continue being a voice for pro-life medical professionals.
