We are excited to announce that our expert witness training sessions for 2024 have largely been scheduled. As we look forward to the last training session of 2023 (which will be held in Charlotte, NC on Saturday, November 4 – register here), we hope that next year will see still more talented medical professionals empowered and prepared to contribute their expertise to the public square, whether it be in the media, in the courts, or before state legislatures. Here are the scheduled training dates and locations for 2024:
- February 22 (at MBEC!): Frisco, Texas
- March 16: Kansas City, Missouri
- April 13: Denver, Colorado
- [Date TBD, late April or May]: Sacramento, California
- August 17 or 18: Orlando, Florida
- October 19: Virtual

These day-long training sessions (9 AM to 5 PM) are open to all medical professionals and consist of two parts: a half day of training by communications experts on how to represent the prolife position in the media and a half day of legal training on how to survive a deposition. Meals will be provided, including a free networking dinner after the training.
Participants will be expected to complete roughly 2 hours’ worth of homework beforehand, in order to allow the in-person part of the training to be a true participatory lab.
We hope you see you at one of these events in 2024! One of our 2023 attendees, a pediatrician and bioethicist, stated that in his 16 years of practice, this has been the best training that he has received – in anything. Our trainees have been featured in national TV and print media outlets, published op-eds at the state and local level, and testified as expert witnesses in state-level court cases, as well as in multiple state legislatures. Don’t let this intimidate you, however. There are many ways you can participate in defending life in the public square. In this era, we need your voice more than ever.
