Pregnancy Centers Prove Abortion Industry Wrong: Over $454 MILLION to Help American Families

The abortion industry and its allies paint pregnancy centers as makeshift medical centers with no experienced staff, full of misinformation and harmful to the community.

Not only are most pregnancy centers staffed with qualified medical professionals (all that are providing medical services), but they make a tangible and significant impact on families through medical, educational and material services.

Case in point: In the Charlotte Lozier Institute’s (CLI) 2025 National Pregnancy Center report, it found that the 2,775 pregnancy centers across the country provided $452 million in “total medical care, support and education services, and material goods in 2024.”

The report details an impressive number of resources and services, but some of the highlights include:

  • 1,012,976 consultations with new clients
  • 636,514 ultrasounds
  • 397,616 clients attending prenatal and parenting education programs
  • 6,353,386 packs of diapers
  • 4,980,839 baby clothing outfits

Despite Planned Parenthood receiving nearly $800 million of taxpayer money in 2024, they provide support only for women who choose abortion and there’s no evidence in their annual reports that Planned Parenthood or any of its affiliates give out diapers or baby clothing.

With this groundbreaking report and the U.S. Supreme Court’s review of First Choice v. Platkin, a case that could set a vital precedent for protecting pregnancy centers from political interference (oral arguments occurred on Dec. 2, it’s more important than ever to support and promote the work these centers do nationwide.

We have hundreds of pregnancy centers that are organizational members of AAPLOG, and many of our individual AAPLOG members work in and support their local pregnancy centers. AAPLOG has a new Pregnancy Center Medical Directors Special Interest Group (PCMD-SIG). This group provides a collaborative network that will connect, encourage, and equip AAPLOG members who serve or desire to serve as medical directors in pregnancy centers. The first meeting is planned for January 2026. Sign up for the SIG here
