Hipporatic Registry

Dear AAPLOG colleague, The Obamacare bill passed, as you know.  Legal challenges will go on and on, as will legislative attempts to alter the law.  But what does this mean for the Pro-Life medical professional?  Clearly, since tax-funded abortions are NOT forbidden by the law (and such amendments were voted down), abortion will tax-funded, and abortion will be edging closer and closer to being considered mainstream medical care.   ACOG Ethics Committee #385 (the one that says we should either do abortions, or refer for them, and certainly locate our offices in proximity to an abortion clinic for our patients’ convenience—if you don’t believe this, read it)—well, #385 will come closer to being a document that will affect your ethical standing in American medicine.. So what is the logical step for ProLife medical professionals, given the above?   Belong to a prolife medical association, such as AAPLOG, Christian Medical/Dental Assn,  American College of Pediatrics, Catholic Medical Assn,  etc.  But in addition, AAPLOG encourages you identify yourself  as a Hippocratic medical professional!  Go to http://www.hippocraticregistry.com Registration is free. Click on “Register Here” and enter your name and information.  The Hippocratic Registry is an international registry  identifying doctors committed to this ethic.  It is a private listing, and your name and information will not be used or shared in any way.  The Registry is not a political instrument.   The Registry was set up by Dr. John Patrick, a Canadian physician, researcher, and college president well known as a speaker  and advocate for Hippocratic medicine.  Dr. Patrick early on realized that  modern  medical philosophy and practice would ultimately result in two distinct branches:  one allowing abortion and euthanasia, and one opposing those practices.  We are there.  The international scene is also there.  Doctors worldwide need to declare where they stand.  You stand on the prolife side.  We urge you to register as a Hippocratic physician.  There is no obligation except to be true to the Hippocratic Oath. If you would like a modern copy of the Oath, hit “reply” and type oath, we’ll send you (free) a pdf copy that is suitable for framing for your office.  And please consider going to the website to register.
