On Friday, January 24, AAPLOG Board Member Dr. Catherine Wheeler addressed tens of thousands of pro-life advocates on the main stage of the 2025 March for Life in Washington, DC. Dr. Wheeler, the President of AAPLOG’s Colorado state chapter, shared her powerful story as a mother, OB-GYN, and former abortionist, emphasizing the value of every life and the importance of forgiveness for anyone who has been involved in induced abortions. “This is why I march for life: Every life is a miracle,” she said to applause.

Dr. Wheeler shared the stage with Live Action founder Lila Rose, as well as U.S. Vice President JD Vance, U.S. Representative Chris Smith, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Mike Johnson, U.S. Senate Majority Leader John Thune, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and many other influential pro-life leaders.
Notably, during his address at this rally, Governor DeSantis voiced his support for Florida Physicians Against Amendment 4, AAPLOG Action’s coalition of pro-life physicians that campaigned alongside him during election season against the radical pro-abortion constitutional amendment that was proposed on the state’s ballot.
“We decided we had no choice but to dig in and lead, that we had all these lives that were depending on us,” he said of his multi-pronged campaign against Amendment 4. “So we mobilized activists … I had Physicians Against Amendment 4; we had survivors of abortion talking against Amendment 4. You name it, we did it… And I’m proud to say that we defeated this radical pro-abortion amendment, and we were the first state in the United States to ever defeat one.”
In addition to Dr. Wheeler, we had several other members speaking during March for Life activities. AAPLOG CEO Dr. Christina Francis and longtime member Dr. Kathi Aultman both offered in-studio commentary for news network EWTN’s live coverage of the march. Our Vice Chair of the Board of Directors, Dr. Susan Bane, also spoke at Students for Life of America’s National Pro-Life Summit on Saturday, January 25.
On January 25, Dr. Francis also delivered an address at the Boise March for Life in Idaho on the importance of life-affirming healthcare.
