AAPLOG Leaders Speak to U.S. Legislators About Conscience Rights Protections

On September 18, AAPLOG Board Members met with nine Congressional offices to discuss topics ranging from the importance of protecting the conscience rights of medical professionals to improving reporting on induced abortion. We met with offices of:

  • Representative Larry Bucshon, MD (R-Indiana)
  • Representative Neal Dunn, MD (R-Florida)
  • Representative Scott Franklin (R-Florida)
  • Representative Bill Huizenga (R-Michigan)
  • Representative Greg Murphy, MD (R-North Carolina)
  • Representative Doug LaMalfa (R-California)
  • Representative John Rutherford (R-Florida)
  • Senator Todd Young (R-Indiana)
  • Senator Shelley Capito (R-West Virginia)

We are honored to have connected with federal lawmakers on such important topics. At a time when several crucial issues are at stake, from chemical abortion to emergency healthcare in pro-life states, it is vital that pro-life experts help inform those tasked with serving the American people and improving their welfare through legislation. In the past year, AAPLOG members and leaders have had several opportunities to offer expert witness testimony before the U.S. Congress, as well as in court. We want to support our members in their efforts to utilize their expertise to serve the pro-life cause. If you want to become more involved in your advocacy efforts, you can register for the last Expert Witness Training session of 2023, which will take place in Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday, November 4. We also expect to host several training sessions in 2024, including one which will be held at the Matthew Bulfin Educational Conference in Frisco, TX, which you can access for free by registering for the conference. The rest of the 2024 training sessions will be announced in the coming weeks. These day-long trainings are personalized to your background and areas of expertise by national media and legal experts.
